ZJQ air-cooled Roots vacuum pump

The air-cooled Roots vacuum pump adds a bypass gas cooling system to the ordinary Roots vacuum pump. The external cooler automatically circulates the gas to cool the rotor and pump body. The cooling gas enters the suction chamber of the pump from both sides of the pump body, preventing the pump from overheating due to compressed gas. This allows the pump to operate reliably for a long time under high pressure difference and high compression ratio, but has no effect on the pumping performance of the pump. The pump can be used alone or in series with multiple units, or connected in series with a liquid ring vacuum pump and a regular Roots vacuum pump to achieve higher vacuum levels to meet various process requirements.
 
The structure of ZJQ series air-cooled Roots pump is shown in the figure. There are two rotors (two or more blades) installed in the pump chamber on a pair of parallel shafts, which are synchronously rotated in opposite directions by a pair of gear belts with a transmission ratio of 1. There is a certain gap between the rotors and the inner wall of the pump casing, which can achieve high-speed operation. Compared with the ZJ series ordinary Roots vacuum pump, the ZJQ series air-cooled Roots vacuum pump is designed with a reflux port at an appropriate position on the side of the pump body, which introduces cooled gas into the pump chamber to cool the rotor and maintain the rotor temperature within a specified range. Therefore, the ZJQ series air-cooled Roots vacuum pump can withstand higher pressure differentials (up to 90kPa) without overheating.

It can be connected in series with the front stage pump to form a Roots unit, with significant energy-saving effects. Compared with ordinary Roots pumps, ZJQ air-cooled Roots vacuum pumps can operate under high pressure differentials, which can reduce the size of the front stage pump appropriately to achieve energy-saving effects.
Wide applicability. Due to the high pressure that the exhaust side can withstand, it effectively solves the overload and overheating phenomena caused by excessive pressure difference and poor vacuum degree of the front stage pump in ordinary Roots vacuum pumps;
Can work under higher inlet pressure. The ZJQ series air-cooled Roots vacuum pump can theoretically operate under atmospheric pressure at the inlet;
The motor power is uncertain. The ZJQ series air-cooled Roots vacuum pump needs to calculate the maximum pressure difference during actual operation based on process conditions to determine the required motor power.
The ZJQ Roots pump (air-cooled) transmits torque through transmission, and the dynamic seal for transmitting torque through the main shaft is a static seal (i.e. no skeleton oil seal and mechanical seal), achieving zero leakage transmission of power.
ZJQ type Roots pump (air-cooled) has no mechanical contact friction noise, can avoid high-frequency vibration, transmit power, and achieve smooth operation of Roots vacuum pump.
The ZJQ Roots pump (air-cooled) can achieve overload protection during the operation of working machinery.
Compared with rigid couplings, ZJQ Roots pumps (air-cooled) have no impact during start-up and are easier to install, disassemble, debug, and maintain.
The ZJQ Roots pump (air-cooled) replaces the shaft dynamic seal with an isolation sleeve static seal, which can completely eliminate the long-standing problems of vacuum leakage and lubrication oil leakage caused by the wear of the shaft dynamic seal, and achieve long-term sealing.
ZJQ Roots pump (air-cooled) does not require lubrication, has no medium or lubricant pollution, and purifies the environment.
The sealing performance of ZJQ Roots pump (air-cooled) is independent of the shaft speed.
This series of pumps has the same installation dimensions and performance parameters as ordinary ZJ and ZJP pumps.

Note: The maximum pressure listed in the table is the maximum pressure value when the pump is used alone for direct atmospheric discharge. The maximum pressure when equipped with a front-end pump is the same as that of the ZJ series Roots vacuum pump, and can refer to the corresponding limit pressure value of the Roots vacuum unit.
